"We Need More Offensive and Defensive Linemen"

Coach William Murphy is in dire need of offensive and defensive linemen.  This rhetoric is a request for such players interested in joining the Tigers Football Team.  Interested candidates are asked to meet Coach Murphy in the park on 13th street between Ann and Glenn Streets.  Please use the entrance at 13th and Church Street, directly in front of the Asphalt race track.

Coach Murphy has recruited coaches and personnel in an effort to take the Tigers to the Mason Dixon Football League Championship.  He feels that this season the Tigers have most of what it takes to win in the championship game. Last season the Team was in the finals headed toward the Championship game but lost in the final round of the payoffs.

This year Coach Murphy has recruited Mr. Jo Jo White as Offensive Coordinator with  Mr. Michael George and Jerome Belton assisting.  Mr. Wayne Cromartie, Defensive Coordinator with Mr. Anthony McDowell (line) and Mr. Gonzalez Harris (back) assisting.  Mr. Eddie Sellers as Exercise Coordinator.  Mr. Murphy has placed Jason Chapman, Captain and Nicholas Green, CoCaptain to monitor and look out for the interest of each player. Donald Smith will handle equipment and Oliver will be taping.

Please be at the Park on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday  at 6:00 p.m. through the months of April, May and June.

Congressman Mike McIntyre honored the Wilmington Tigers  with a visit showing his support for the efforts of the Minor League Football players and team.

The Tigers Team is a great outlet for young adults in our community to showcase their talents and join a positive goal oriented and structured organization.  It gives them an opportunity to respect themselves and others as they become positive role models to our youth while representing our community as winners.

Good Luck this season and Go Tigers!
